This is listed as a replacement mallet. I lost the one that came with my 7.5" chime, and this one is about half the length. I'm still trying to find out with their customer service if the chimes actually still includes the full length mallet. I'd appreciate them splitting a set if that's the only way to get one, since this works (hey, it's a mallet!), but it's not a true replacement.
I have been using the three bar chime in my class for 12 years. Recently the mallet went missing and I ordered a replacement. The new mallet is shorter and lighter than the original one. I assume the company chose to cost save the design. I have small hands and despite that the new mallet does not feel well balanced in my hand anymore. I hope they bring back the old design
