Description

This light and spirited wind chime is tuned to a musical scale called saih gender wayang from the South Pacific Island of Bali, Indonesia. Originating in the playful music of the shadow puppet play, this scale comes alive with each wind movement. Gamelan gender wayang is a style of music played in Bali. In 2003, UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) designated Wayang Kulit, a shadow puppet theater and the best known Indonesian wayang, as a Masterpiece of Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity to help preserve this aspect of Indonesian heritage.

    Unexpected subsitution

    I had ordered, I thought the Chimes of Bali in regular silver. I have had these for over 25 years and really liked them. Will see how the "Antique silver" age by comparison and how they look in the sun. So far they do not look as nice hanging on my house. I did not know that I had ordered these, chimes in that color.
