    So unique! Truly lovely chimes!

    Heavy jade with very little chiming

    Takes a lot of wind to get it to chime. I am pretty sure it’s because the jade piece at the bottom of the line of string is too heavy so a light breeze is not going to move the jade to get it to chime. I am going to try moving it farther away from my porch to see if it gets more wind if that will make a difference.

    We are happy to hear that you love the tone quality and the notation. Below is a link with information on how to hang your chime that may help deciding where to move it. Sometimes just moving its location a small distance will solve the issue. Also, ensure that the chime hangs directly from a solid object. Hanging your chime using a length of rope or chain will result in the “pendulum effect,” whereby the entire chime sways in the breeze rather than the windcatcher itself. Hopefully this helps.
