Everyone thought I was crazy for bringing in a noise maker to my office.
I thought it was a nice addition to many other items I have on my desk. Some serious, some whimsical.
Anyone wanting to come in and talk always hit the desk Gong for fun, but it had a more useful tone as an icebreaker. I always had an open door if anyone needed to talk.
The Gong was the perfect addition to my selection of items to help employees come in and talk. I always try to end conversations on a good note. The Gong was always sounded when everything went good. Sometimes even if things were not great.
The sound was funny and serious at the same time, and many times we had a good laugh.
When I retired I left the Gong to my replacement who I hope still uses it to help with communication.
It is great. I use it everyday.
Sometimes the best things really do come in small packages. I needed a token gift for a friend going through some tough times. She talks about the angels that watch over her, so I knew an angel would be the perfect gift. Most that I found just weren’t pretty and were much too big. This one is tiny, sweet, delicate and just perfect for hanging anywhere as a reminder of the good stuff in life! I ordered 3 angels and they arrived packaged securely (they're so delicate, I was afraid they would break) and unbroken. Our first crystal guardian angel was a parting gift from a hospital in CT. We dangled it from a car rearview mirror. A wing of the angel was broken in a car accident - but the driver walked off unscratched. Naturally, we, being people of science and cold statistical logic, immediately ordered a new angel - and for good measure, an angel for each family member.
